Goal
You establish a deliberate start ritual with Copilot that aligns your workday before external inputs take control.
Why this matters
Most workdays start reactively: emails, chats, meetings. Open the inbox first and you’re working someone else’s day. You need a clean start into your own.
The drill
Clarify three things with Copilot every morning:
- Intent. What meaningful outcome are you driving today? How will you create impact in your meetings — instead of just attending them?
- Focus. Which one to three priorities deserve your best attention today — and what can wait?
- Boundaries. Which interruptions are you deliberately saying no to today?
Intent guides the day by outcomes instead of activity. Focus protects your attention from fragmenting. Boundaries keep you in control instead of responding.
Make it this week’s habit: every workday starts with a five-minute Morning Warm-Up — before the first email, before the first meeting.
Extra round
Combine with Set & Release: if your environment supports scheduled prompts, have your personal morning briefing generated automatically — waiting for you before you ask.
Micro-win
Today you aligned the day before it aligned you.
Remember
The ritual only works before the first external input. A warm-up after thirty minutes of inbox isn’t one — by then the day has already decided.
